Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
- Citizen of India
- Subject of Nepal or Person of Indian Origin from select countries (with eligibility certificate if required)
Age Limit
- 20 to 27 years as on 01 Jan 2026
- Born between 02 Jan 1999 and 01 Jan 2006
Educational Qualification
- Passed or final year of Engineering Degree (BE/B.Tech) in relevant streams
- Final year students must submit proof of passing by 01 Jan 2026

Note: Only notified equivalent engineering degrees are accepted.
Physical Standards (Minimum)
- 2.4 Km Run: 10 min 30 sec
- Push Ups: 40
- Pull Ups: 6
- Sit Ups: 30
- Squats & Lunges: 2 sets each
- Swimming: Basic knowledge required
Selection Process
- Shortlisting based on academic performance
- SSB Interview at Selection Centres (Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, Jalandhar)
- Medical Examination
- Merit List based on SSB marks
Training
- Duration: 12 months at IMA Dehradun
- Cost: Govt. funded (₹16,260/week recoverable if candidate leaves voluntarily)
- Marriage Restriction: Not allowed during training
Pay & Allowances
- Stipend during Training: ₹56,100/month
- Rank-wise Pay Scale:
- Lieutenant: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500
- Captain to COAS: Up to ₹2,50,000/month
- Military Service Pay (MSP): ₹15,500/month
- Allowances: Technical, Field Area, High Altitude, Uniform, Transport, Education, Hostel
Insurance
- AGIF Cover: ₹1 Crore during training
- Disability Benefits: Up to ₹25 Lakh depending on severity
